I know everyone's hyped for all the aesthetics and parties and costumes for spooky season. But let's not forget what ELSE spooky season is good for. So what's my favorite candy? Pretty much anything with peanut butter in it. Thats why, when @drix_lim asked what candy I wanted to represent for his Sugar series, my choice was a no brainer.
"After months of anticipation and planning, the long-awaited shoot with RJ finally came together, and the results were nothing short of magical. We had originally discussed the concept months ago, but schedules never quite aligned – until now. RJ had this brilliant vision: a beauty shoot centered around Reese's Pieces. It was an unconventional choice, but it captured the playful, vibrant energy we were looking for. Then, as the shoot date approached, we realized it would be just in time for October – Halloween season. The timing was perfect, and the idea took on a life of its own.
Combining the bold, colorful candy with the seasonal essence of Halloween gave us the perfect aesthetic: playful yet mysterious, colorful yet elegant. It wasn’t just about creating a beauty shoot; it was about embracing the unexpected and turning something whimsical into high art. From the concept to the execution, every step was infused with creativity and excitement. The energy on set was palpable, and you can feel it in every shot. Each photo tells a story – a fusion of fun, beauty, and a little Halloween magic.
